Islamabad:The second season of the two-week ‘Tee to Triumph’ golf training programme for girls began here under the Sports Diplomacy Initiative of the Serena Hotels.
Organisers said the initiative taken in collaboration with the Margalla Greens Golf Club was meant to provide these aspiring golfers with a platform to learn and improve their skills in a sport that was both challenging and rewarding. They said the training programme, currently under way at the scenic Margalla Greens Golf Club, was attracting enthusiastic participation from over 25 young girls.
They are being trained under the expert supervision of the club's coaches. The programme will conclude on August 1, 2024, with a closing ceremony, according to them. The participants expressed gratitude to Serena Hotels and Margalla Greens Golf Club for their support and providing them with a valuable opportunity.
“We are pleased to partner with Serena Hotels on this wonderful initiative. The ‘Tee to Triumph’ golf training programme not only introduces young girls to the sport but also helps build their confidence and discipline. It is a pleasure to see their progress and enthusiasm,” said secretary of the Margalla Greens Golf Club Commodore (r) Majid Satti. Junaid Shafqat, general manager (marketing and communication) at the Serena Hotels, said his organisation believed in the power of sports to bring positive change and inspire the younger generation.
