Governor stresses need to expedite CPEC projects

LAHORE:Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has stressed the need to speed up ongoing development projects under CPEC.

The governor said this while talking to Chinese Consul General in Lahore Zhao Shirin who called on him at Governor House here on Thursday. During the meeting, ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and ongoing development projects under CPEC were discussed. On the occasion, Governor Saleem Haider said Pakistan and China always enjoyed fraternal relations based on love and trust. He said people of both the countries enjoyed strong relations. The governor said work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project was progressing rapidly, however, there was a need to speed up the project. He said Pakistan-China Economic Corridor project is beneficial for both Pakistan and China.

The governor said that the CPEC will bring development and prosperity in Pakistan. He said that the reforms and rapid development of the Communist Party of China for the betterment of the country was exemplary. Chinese Consul General Zhao Shirin said that work was under way on various development projects in the backward areas of Punjab with the cooperation of China.
