Punjab to have 100 new sports complexes

Sial says that this ambitious plan is expected to have a far-reaching impact on the sports landscape of Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab government is on a mission to revamp sports infrastructure across the province. In a significant development, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, Muzaffar Khan Sial, presided over a meeting to review the progress of 100 sports schemes, including the construction and maintenance of new sports complexes.

Further there is also plan of renovation of existing stadiums. Recognising the importance of existing infrastructure, the government is undertaking a massive renovation project to upgrade old stadiums. This includes modernising facilities and ensuring they meet international standards.

Sial told The News that this ambitious plan is expected to have a far-reaching impact on the sports landscape of Punjab. By providing world-class facilities and opportunities, the government aims to discover and nurture new talent: The focus on grassroots development will help identify and cultivate young athletes with exceptional potential.
