Partly cloudy, rain forecast

LAHORE:Hot, humid, and partly cloudy weather was witnessed in the City here on Wednesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions with chances of scattered rain for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said that weak monsoon currents were penetrating central/upper parts of the country at lower tropospheric level while a westerly wave was also present over upper parts. They predicted that hot and humid weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-windstorm /thundershower was expected at isolated places in KP, upper/central Punjab. Wednesday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Sibbi and Dalbandin where mercury reached 47°C, while in Lahore, it was 38.0°C and minimum was 24.0°C.
