‘Labs, collection centres capacity being increased’

LAHORE:Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that the capacity of laboratories and collection centres was being increased across the province.

The minister stated this during his visit to Punjab Institute of Cardiology and Services Institute of Medical Sciences. Secretary Health Punjab and Deputy Secretary Waleed Baig also accompanied Khawaja Salman Rafique. The health minister reviewed the medical facilities provided to the patients in both labs. Principal SIMS Prof Zohra Khanam, MS PIC Dr Shoaib Aslam and MS Services Hospital Dr Abdul Mudabar Reehan briefed the minister and health secretary in this regard.

The minister and health secretary inquired about the medical facilities from the patients at PIC and SIMS laboratory and collection centres. The minister said that the medical facilities were provided to patients in the lab and collection centres of Punjab Institute of Cardiology and Services Institute of Medical Sciences. We are increasing the capacity of laboratories and collection centres across the province, he concluded.
