Steps to attract investors discussed in SIFC meeting

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal chaired the Executive Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which paved the way for important decisions to be taken by the country’s top civil and military leadership in the apex committee sitting of SIFC.

The meeting discussed different cross-sectoral issues with particular reference to the provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Different ministries presented reports on policy matters and on progress in important sectors. The ministries also presented detailed strategies for future efforts. All the federal and provincial stakeholders expressed consensus on measures taken in priority sectors.

An official statement said the provinces played a positive role under the SIFC for completion of different steps and also highlighted the country’s view to attract investors.
