Rawalpindi:Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfaraz Alpa of Rawalpindi Region held an open court at the regional office under the Punjab government’s open door policy.
According to police spokesman, RPO attentively listened to the grievances and complaints of citizens, ensuring prompt action on their concerns. Shakir Elahi from District Rawalpindi expressed worry over the non-arrest of suspects in a case, RPO Babar Sarfaraz gave instructions to City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Mehmood Hamdani to take immediate action. Similarly, Muhammad Afzal from District Jhelum appealed to change the investigation of a case filed at Chautala police station.
The RPO directed the District Police Officer (DPO) of Jhelum to address this matter promptly. Additionally, Khursheed Anwar from District Chakwal and Khalid Mahmood from District Rawalpindi submitted requests for changes in investigation procedures. RPO directed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for further action through the Special Branch (RIB). Speaking to the media, RPO Babar Sarfaraz Alpa highlighted that the open court not only resolves citizen complaints effectively but also enhances the overall quality of policing. He stressed the importance of handling applications based on merit and within specified time, urging officers to submit their reports promptly.
