LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club saw a thrilling day of races on Sunday evening, with a mix of favourites securing victories and dark horses causing upsets.
In the opening race, Falco, an underdog, surged to the forefront, leaving the favourite Silent Melody in third place. Tatla Choice managed to secure a surprise second-place finish. The second race offered a similar story. While Flying Fire, a pre-race favourite, lived up to expectations, Generosity and Mumraiz Love emerged as surprise contenders, taking the second and third positions, respectively.
In the third race, Dubawi’s Angel, tipped for victory beforehand, dominated the race. Lalay De Jan, another horse predicted to be a strong contender, came in second place. However, the third-place finish went to Welcome Sardar, a dark horse that defied expectations.
The final race of the day proved somewhat predictable. Handsome, a horse expected to win, lived up to its billing and secured the top spot. Deedavar surprised the crowd with a strong showing, finishing a respectable second place. While Zaman Sahib was expected to be a frontrunner, it slipped to third place.
