ISLAMABAD: Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi will be produced in the accountability court today (Monday) after eight days of physical remand in the new case related to Toshakhana. On Sunday, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi reportedly refused to be investigated in the new case. The NAB team, headed by Deputy Director Mustansar Imam Shah, remained in Adiala Jail for two-and-a-half hours. They went back after Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi refused to join the investigation due to absence of their lawyers.
National Accountability Bureau is likely to request further remand of both the accused. On July 14, the accountability court granted eight-day physical remand of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to the NAB. The progress report of NAB regarding the investigation will be submitted to the court.
It should be noted that NAB investigating team on Saturday also investigated Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi for almost half an hour.
