PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Amir Muqam on Sunday condemned the attack on Pakistani consulate and downing the Pakistani flag from the building in Frankfurt in Germany.
“The attack on the Pakistani consulate and disrespecting its flag in Frankfurt in Germany by Afghans is unacceptable, and the German government should take action against the elements behind the incident,” a press release quoting as saying.
He said that it was the responsibility of a host country to protect embassies and consulates and diplomats of foreign countries under the International Law.The minister also called upon the Afghan government to take action against its citizens involved in the attack on the Pakistani consulate in Germany.
He said that such elements were carrying out such actions for gaining political mileage, which
will further complicate the already bitter ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.Muqam urged the Pakistani community to launch a campaign against such elements to foil their nefarious designs against Pakistan with national spirit.
