Islamabad:Terming Pakistan a distinguished and most prominent country among the Muslim Ummah, senior Turkish journalist Mehmet Oz Turk has said that political instability is the major cause, which destabilized country’s economy.

Mehmet Oz Turk suggested that Pakistan needs a political stability, consistency in its policies to overcome the current economic difficulties. “The history, culture, food, and people of Pakistan are all unparalleled; brave and educated young people are Pakistan's asset,” Mehmet Oz Turk said during a meeting with Shabana Ayaz head of Turkey-Pakistan Women Forum Abdul Qadir and Pakistan-origin Turkish journalist Abdul Hamid Chohan.

He said to overcome its current economic difficulties, Pakistan needs political stability and consistency in its policies. To make the people of Pakistan prosperous, it must escape political strife. With over 60% of its population being youth, Pakistan is of utmost importance not only to its region but to the entire Islamic world. He said that Pakistan is a large and nuclear-powered country, but politically and economically, its performance is not good.

The wealth of Pakistan is not reaching the common people. To make the people of Pakistan prosperous, it must escape political strife. The youth in Pakistan, who are mostly educated in English, can play a crucial role in national development, but unfortunately, they are leaving the country. If there is political stability in Pakistan, this group will not leave, leading to national development and economic improvement, as Pakistan is rich in mineral resources.

The Turkish journalist said that Pakistan is also an agricultural country and can become a welfare state due to its natural resources. The youth of Pakistan fall into human resources, speaking English fluently, and can work for their country everywhere, thus this power should be utilized for national development. “In Turkey, not many people speak English. Internationally, we cannot achieve much until we speak English, but Pakistan can do a lot. By utilising the power of its youth, Pakistan can play an important role in national development,” the journalist remarked.

Mehmet Oz Turk said that he wants to send a message to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to make Pakistan clean again. Pakistan's name itself means a pure place. Not only cities but also villages should have a cleaning system. He heard on Pakistani channels that Maryam Nawaz, upon becoming Chief Minister, talked about the cleaning system and is serious about it. Pakistan should be genuinely clean, not just Punjab, but all provinces should have an excellent cleaning system.

Abdul Hamid Chohan said that Shahbaz Sharif also hired Turkish companies for cleaning services because cleanliness is half of faith. Abdul Qadir said that there are many religious people in Pakistan, but they should overcome the poor cleaning system.

A campaign should be started, taking Turkey's cleaning system as an example, for people to keep their homes, streets, and neighbourhoods clean. They should recycle garbage to create sources of income. Mehmet Oz Turk told Shabana Ayaz that he has visited all four provinces of Pakistan.
