LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s mission is to ensure a prosperous, brighter, and progressive Punjab.
“If anyone wants to compete with Maryam Nawaz, they should do so on the basis of performance. No one can match PTI in verbosity, unrealistic promises, and empty philosophies. Instead of worrying about Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s government, the PTI group causing unrest should care for themselves. The incumbent government will complete its five-year term and will set Pakistan on the path to progress, development, and prosperity. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been duped for the last 11 years under the guise of a tsunami, change, and Naya Pakistan,” she said.
The Provincial Minister said that education, health, infrastructure, and employment have never been PTI’s priorities. The anarchist group’s performance is limited to making baseless propaganda and using abusive language.
There is no place in Pakistani politics for the rioters and terrorists of May 9. Pakistan cannot afford disorder, destruction, abusive language, and chaos. The existence of a party that has become a threat to Pakistan’s integrity and sovereignty is intolerable.
She further said that how come those who burnt statues of martyrs claim themselves to be true patriots? The first and foremost duty of patriotism is to honour and respect our martyrs and heroes. The “Tangah Party” even mocks those who sacrificed their precious lives for the sake of their country.
Azma said that PML-N leadership is proud to have always played a frontline role whenever Pakistan faced difficult and turbulent times.
Despite all the challenges today, we are striving to enable Pakistan to stand on its own feet. Anyone standing with the May 9 rioters will be considered their accomplice. No unconstitutional facilitation will be tolerated anymore, she concluded.
