ISLAMABAD: As many as eight suspects, including three women, have been rounded up on the allegations of honey-trapping a famous personality associated with drama entertainment industry in Lahore.
He had gone to a party where he was captured on camera by the hosts in objectionable poses.
The females later seized him and demanded a ransom. His ATM card was also used to withdraw cash. The incident occurred two or three days ago and he was recovered on Saturday. It has not been confirmed whether the abductors set him free or the police had him recovered. It has been learned that police were able to recover a video made by the females.
A source privy to the details said a complaint was filed by him wherein he mentioned details. However, his insistence on its registration in someone else’s name kept the matter remained inconclusive till the filing of this report as the police were reluctant to make a fake complainant. With this, the legal status of the detention of the suspects has also come under questions as under what law police would be able to detain them.
