BAHAWALPUR: The building of the Islamia University Bahawalpur’s Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies collapsed after eruption of fire due to gas leakage at the Baghdadul Jadeed Campus on Thursday.
Seven people including two students and the institute director got injured in the incident.
The building had recently been renovated at a cost of millions of rupees. After the incident, the IUB administration banned the entry of media into the campus.
According to report, taxpayers were provided with relief amounting to Rs22.79 billion in tax refunds during 2024
