LAHORE: The Pakistan women’s cricket team, led by the experienced Nida Dar, is ready to battle it out in the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024.
The eight participating teams are divided into two groups, with Pakistan placed alongside arch-rivals India, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Group A. Group B features Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, and hosts Sri Lanka. Pakistan will lock horns with India on the evening of July 19. Their subsequent matches are against Nepal (July 21) and UAE (July 23). The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals.
Expressing her optimism about the team’s preparations, Nida Dar stated, “We’ve put in a lot of hard work during the camp. Our strategy is to play fearless and positive cricket, adapting our approach to the Sri Lankan conditions. We are confident in our abilities and determined to showcase them throughout the tournament.”
