LAHORE:Principal Ameeruddin Medical College Prof Dr Al-Fareed Zafar has said that the training of nurses on modern lines will provide an opportunity to update the knowledge about the progress in the field of nursing, clinical management and prevention of diseases.
This will enhance the efficiency of nurses. Training courses are being conducted continuously in Lahore General Hospital to further boost the professional skills of nursing staff. The training course is being supervised by Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent Zamurd Khurshid. In this regard, Zamurd Khursheed said that the said training workshop will not only pave the way for providing world-class medical facilities to patients but the nurses participating in the workshop will be trained in better patient care, ward management, record completion, discipline and will have an opportunity to refine responsibilities regarding SOPs of healthcare commission.
She highlighted that a nurse should have a wise, present mind. There are many obstacles in this field, but one must overcome them and move forward. Zamurd Khursheed said that such training courses are helpful in making the people associated with the medical field compatible with the modern medical requirements and help immensely in the treatment of patients undergoing treatment in medical institutions. She added that nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system. Successful patient care is unimaginable without highly trained nurses. The series of modern training facilities for nurses will continue in the future, Zamurd Khursheed concluded.
