KARACHI: The PHF has appointed Col Ahmed Nawaz as tournament director of Under-18 Boys Hockey Championship to be played from May 22-June 3 at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium.
The PHF is organising the championship to promote the game at the grassroots level, aiming to prepare players for the Youth Olympics 2018 and Junior World Cup 2020.
Sindh Hockey Association (SHA) secretary Ramzan Jamali is the organising secretary and Major Tariq and Khalid Munir are assistant tournament directors.
The PHF has appointed Faiz Muhammad from Peshawar as Umpires Manager and Munawar Hussain (Lahore) and Razia Rizvi (Rawalpindi) as assistant umpires manager.
Overall, 16 umpires from various regions and department will officiate during the championship.
