PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Monday termed ridiculous the decision of the federal government to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

A handout quoting the chief minister said the federal government had stolen the mandate of the PTI. “Is the Form 47 government going to ban the PTI?” he questioned, terming the federal government a fake.

The chief minister was reacting to the reports that the federal government was considering banning the PTI. Gandapur said that the “mandate thieves” could not compete against former prime minister Imran Khan and the PTI.

He said the federal government had lost its senses and had now resorted to fascism. The chief minister said the federal government could not defeat the PTI in the political arena and hoped it would bite the dust.

He said Pakistan belonged to the 250 million people and it was not anybody’s fiefdom. Gandapur said the Supreme Court had delivered its judgment in the reserved seats case as per the Constitution. He said the decisions of the election tribunals would turn the tables on the government and the rulers knew they were going to face the defeat.
