LAHORE:The administration of Lahore General Hospital, while taking action against employees involved in stealing medicines from the hospital, cancelled the allotment of the residential quarter to Muhammad Saleem, a Pharmacy Technician.
The allotment of a residential quarter to Muhammad Atif Raza was also cancelled on the charges of sheltering his brother, Ahmad Raza, involved in drug theft. The notifications have been issued in this regard.
‘The elements, who steal medicines from poor patients, do not deserve any concession,’ said Dr Faryad Hussain, MS of LGH here Monday. Earlier, a case was registered against Salim Ahmad Subhani and Ahmad Raza and others in the police station Kot Lakhpat on the charge of stealing medicines from government hospitals. MS Dr Faryad Hussain said that all the records of medicines are being investigated in the General Hospital. ‘If evidence is found against other employees, they will be strictly punished as per law,’ he added.
