Sattar calls for sectarian harmony

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Sunday met religious scholars in Malir and called for maintaining peace and harmony during Muharram.
According to a statement issued by the MQM-P, leaders of the party had been making efforts to ensure peace and for this purpose they had been meeting religious scholars. Sattar visited various Imambargahs in Malir and talked to scholars and trustees. He listened to their grievances and assured them that he would play his due role for redress of their grievances.
Some scholars complained of power cuts during Majalis and asked Sattar to play his role in resolution of the problem. The MQM-P senior leader was also accompanied by MPA Shariq Jamal and workers of the party.
