During these scorching summer conditions, many areas of Pakistan have been affected by electricity loadshedding, inclusive of Islamabad. This loadshedding is causing disruptions for many people, from labourers who start their mornings at 6am, to shopkeepers, farmers, etc, all of whom understand what summer truly is; we are blessed enough not to feel the actual heat, but what about the majority that lives in poverty? They can’t afford air conditioners, let alone solar, generator or battery power. Instead, they survive off of a single fan amidst high electricity costs they struggle to meet.
This has to stop. We are human. Don’t force people to turn to protest.
