KARACHI: The All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchants Association (PFVA) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding with the CAB International to promote skill development in horticulture sector of Pakistan, a statement said.
The main objective of this collaboration is to work jointly to strengthen research and development with exploring capacity building opportunities in fresh produce industry.
PFVA is a trade association representing 200 plus members across the country.
The CABI is a global, intergovernmental, not-for-profit organisation, owned and run by its 48 member countries.
It’s working to improve livelihoods, natural resource management and sustainable agriculture throughout the world while conducting research into commodity crops, good agricultural practices and integrated pest and crop management.
