University of Swat inks MoU for social sciences promotion

MINGORA: University of Swat has joined the largest network of Pakistani universities by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Inter-University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS) Pakistan.

The signing ceremony was held at the University of Swat, marking a significant step towards fostering collaboration and promoting values of responsible citizenship, peace, and co-existence among students.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Swat, and Muhammad Murtaza Noor, National Coordinator for IUCPSS Pakistan.This partnership signifies a commitment to working together on various activities aimed at the effective engagement of students.

Prof Dr Hassan Sher highlighted the importance of such initiatives in nurturing a peaceful and tolerant campus environment. “Joining the IUCPSS network will open up numerous opportunities for our students to engage in meaningful activities that promote peace and co-existence. We are excited to work closely with IUCPSS to realize these goals,” he said.

Muhammad Murtaza Noor emphasized the consortium’s dedication to enhancing social sciences education and fostering a collaborative spirit among universities. “Our partnership with the University of Swat is a testament to our shared vision of promoting responsible citizenship and peace. We look forward to organizing joint events and programmes that will benefit the student community,” he stated.
