The journey from Turbat to Quetta has often proven to be a dangerous one. Back in May, at least 28 people lost their lives after a bus heading from Turbat to Quetta when the bus fell into a ravine in the Washuk district of Balochistan. In my view, outdated and poorly maintained buses are the main cause behind such accidents.
It is a pity that the relevant authorities seem incapable of taking proactive measures to ensure public or mass transport vehicles are properly maintained and meet the latest standards. This matter requires attention and the authorities need to take discernible actions to safeguard the lives of commuters and prevent such tragedies.
