ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari stressed on Thursday the timely completion of the ongoing development projects in Balochistan and urged the provincial government to take proactive measures for the province›s welfare.

According to an announcement from the President’s House on Thursday, during the meeting, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti briefed President Zardari on the overall situation of the province and the ongoing development projects aimed at the welfare of the people.
President Zardari highlighted the need for the early completion of the Kachhi Canal with the support of the federal government to meet the water needs of the province, boost agriculture, and ensure food security.
The president also expressed satisfaction with the ongoing public welfare projects in the province and the measures taken by the provincial government to maintain peace and order.
