PESHAWAR: Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mahsud has taken immediate action after a viral social media post reported the case of a 20-year-old drug-addicted girl in the Jamrud area of district of Khyber.
The post revealed that the girl, Mahnoor, was roaming around with male heroin addicts and abusing drugs with them.In response, Commissioner Riaz Mahsud directed the district administration and the Social Welfare Department to intervene. A special team, led by DPO Khyber Saleem Kalachi, along with the district administration and the Social Welfare Department, took Mahnoor into custody. She has been transferred to the Al-Khidmat Rehabilitation Center in Nishtarabad, Peshawar, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
