Governor wants youth trained as per markets needs
PESHAWAR: Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday called for introducing training programmes compatible with the domestic and international market needs.
“Overseas Ministry should also be consulted in the selection of such courses,” he said during a visit to the main offices of the GIZ, the German development agency.Member of Provincial Assembly, Ahmad Karim Kundi, was also present on the occasion.
The governor was briefed about the working and operational matters of GIZ and the programmes being underway in the organization. Kundi has said cooperation would be extended to non-governmental organizations that were endeavoring to end unemployment through imparting technical education.
He said we should also prepare youth to work and tap potential in Germany.The governor appreciated the targeted programmes for women and said its implications would be far-reaching and beneficial.
He suggested the establishment of institutes of excellence in backward areas of the province.The governor discussed various plans for the development of youth and made proposals to enhance their capabilities through different technical programmes.
Earlier, Kundi was informed that GIZ was working for the empowerment of youth through training programmes that were conducted by trained professionals.
