Over Rs8bn CDA development projects approved
Islamabad:The 70th meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Development Working Party (CDADWP) which was held with CDA chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa in the chair on Thursday approved four development project of over Rs8 billion.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials from the Ministries of Interior, Planning and Finance. The meeting okayed a mega project of underpasses at Serena Chowk/Convention Centre to help smooth flow of traffic coming from Srinagar Highway, Khyaban-e-Suharwardy and Murree Road.
The meeting approved Rs4.56 PC-1 of the project which will include underpasses on both sides of Serena Chowk and Srinagar Highway and it will be completed in a period of six months. The project will also include three loops towards Khyaban-e-Suharwardy. The CDADWP also approved Rs3.99 billion project to control rush of traffic at junction of 9th Avenue and Jinnah Avenue.
This will include an underpass, a flyover and protected U turns. Another PC-1 of Rs98.88 million was also okayed for Resource Planning/Financial Management System. The meeting also gave nod to Rs 53.03 million PC-2 to hire a consultant firm for establishment of four-tear data center in Islamabad.
