DIR: Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sahibzada Sanaullah alleged that the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) workers started the scuffle that left several persons injured the previous day.

Speaking at a press conference in Wari area here, the lawmaker from provincial constituency PK-93, said that the Pakistan People’s party (PPP) workers just wanted to register protest, not a scuffle.

He alleged that the JI workers started throwing stones at the peaceful protesters that left several persons from the two parties wounded.

Razaullah Advocate, Shah Zubair, Jahan Zeb Khan and others were also present on the occasion.

Sanaullah said that Khaal fell in his constituency and he wanted the JI to consult him before launching any uplift project there.

He said he would raise the issue in the provincial assembly.

He said that though cases had been filed against the workers of both the parties but alleged that action was only being taken against the PPP workers.

“The police is only conducting raids on the houses of the PPP workers and no action is being taken against the JI activists,” he lamented.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party (ANP) Upper Dir chapter offered to mediate between the JI and PPP to settle the dispute between the two parties.

ANP district president, Raja Amir Zaman, said that his party wanted to settle the dispute amicably.
