Girls outshine boys in SSC exam
Rawalpindi:Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has announced the results of the first Annual matriculation examination 2024, with a pass rate of 73.49%. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has announced the results of the first annual matriculation examination 2024 here on Tuesday.
A special ceremony was held at Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi to mark the announcement of the results. The ceremony was attended by Chairman District Coordination Committee Rawalpindi MNA Qamar Islam Raja as the chief guest. MNA Malik Abrar, Provincial Assembly Members Raja Hanif Advocate, Zia Ullah Shah, Malik Iftikhar, Falak Sher Awan, Riffat Abbasi, Shazia Rizwan, DC Chakwal Qurat-ul-Ain, ADC Headquarters Rawalpindi Dr. Zunaira Aftab, Chairman Rawalpindi Board Muhammad Adnan Khan, Sajid Mahmood Farooqi Controller of Examinations, Professor Asif Hussain Secretary Education Board Rawalpindi, along with officers of the district administration and other officials attended the event.
Executive Director IBCC Ghulam Ali Malah was a special attendee. In the ceremony, students who secured top positions were awarded medals and prizes. Out of 120,014 candidates, 119,265 participated in the first annual matriculation examination. 87,639 candidates passed, with a success rate of 73.49%. In the first annual matriculation examination, 59,980 girls and 59,285 boys participated. The success rate for male candidates was 66.3%, while for female candidates, it was 80.6%. In the General Group Boys, Humayun Taj secured the first position with 1049 marks, Zohaib Imran came second with 1017 marks, and Jawad Mahmood Malik secured third place with 1007 marks.
In the General Group Girls, Iqra Salman secured the first position with 1105 marks, Laiba Arooj came second with 1103 marks, and Naima Farooqi secured third place with 1087 marks. In the Science Group Boys, Muhammad Ayan Iqbal and Hassan Raza jointly secured the first position with 1170 marks. Muhammad Abdul Rahman secured the second position with 1169 marks, and Muhammad Wasif Munam secured third place with 1168 marks. In the Science Group Girls, Aqsa Noor secured the first position with 1179 marks, Tayyaba Arif came second with 1178 marks, and Areeba Asif secured third place with 1176 marks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman District Coordination Committee Rawalpindi Qamar Islam Raja congratulated all the students on their success. Successful students will be given a guard of honour at the Governor House in Murree. All facilities will be provided to the students so that they are equipped with modern education. He commended the Chairman of
the Rawalpindi Board and the district administration for eradicating the cheating mafia. He said that the students are the nation's assets. The successful future of our beloved country is associated with today’s success-ful youth, he said.
