ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday summoned the National Assembly to meet today (Tuesday, July 9).
The National Assembly will meet today (Tuesday) at Parliament House at 1700 hours. The president summoned the session in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Article 54(1) of the Constitution.
The National Assembly Secretariat has also issued 50-point agenda of private members day. According to sources, the government is aiming important legislation in this session. Sources said the issue of the new board of governors of electricity distribution companies will also be discussed in the scheduled session of the National Assembly. During the session, the government also wants to extend some ordinances which are about to expire.
