LAHORE: The third meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) FY 2024-25 was held under Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan and approved seven development schemes of agriculture, public building and road sectors at an estimated cost of Rs24.441 billion.
The approved schemes are chief minister’s programme for solarisation of agricultural tube-wells in Punjab at the cost of Rs9 billion, protection against erosive action for River Chenab along left side in District Hafizabad (Kot Kameer & Behak Ahmad Yar) at the cost of Rs848.966 million, Rehabilitation Improvement of Faisalabad-Jaranwala road at Makuana by-pass to Syed Wala Okara road via Syed Wala Interchange Motorway M-3 at the cost of Rs3.801 billion, Rehabilitation/ Improvement of Ghazi Road connecting Ring Road to Ferozepur Road in District Lahore at the cost of Rs530 million, Rehabilitation/Improvement from Syedwala to Jaranwala, District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs1.320 billion, Rehabilitation/Improvement of Faisalabad-Satiana-Tandilianwala Mari Pattan Okara Road, (Section from Chamrall Jhall to Maripattan) at the cost of Rs3.451 billion, and Rehabilitation of Sahiwal Arifwala road up to District Boundary, in Sahiwal at the cost of Rs5.490 billion. Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Secretary Agriculture Iftikhar Ali, Secretary C&W Sohail Ashraf, Chief Economist Nasir Iqbal Malik, members P&D Board, head of relevant departments attended the meeting.
