MANSEHRA: The youths in Torghar district on Sunday took out a peace rally to demand the government not to launch ‘Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
The rally, which had started from Bazaargay in Judbah, the headquarters of Torghar district, culminated at the same point after marching through different roads. The protesters, who were holding placards, raised slogans in support of their demands. “The government should bring about change in our society through education and development,” Faizan Khan, a youth leader, said.
He said the people were against terrorism and never mixed with anti-social elements, but would widely be displaced if the proposed operation was launched in the tribal districts including Torghar.
