LAHORE:The two-day mega education event, The News Education Expo organised by the Jang Media Group, ended on Sunday with a significant turnout, especially from students and families.
On the last day, the expo organisers from the Jang Media Group presented shields to representatives from the participating institutions and organisations. It was a gesture to thank them for their active role in guiding students for their future studies and careers.
Among many other prominent visitors on Sunday was Vice Chancellor of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) Prof Hina Tayyaba Khalil who visited the stall set up by the PIFD team as well as other stalls and also interacted with students.
It is pertinent to mention here that the two-day expo which ran from 10am to 6pm without break was inaugurated by Acting Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan on Saturday.
“Visiting university websites can leave many questions unanswered, and even calling them might not clarify everything. That's why I believe attending events like this in person is really worthwhile,” remarked Fatima, a student. She attended the expo on the concluding day in order to explore different undergraduate programmes being offered by the leading higher education institutions in the provincial metropolis.
Saad Anwar, another attendee, mentioned that he used the event to find a university offering business education for his daughter. “I was looking for a university that is affordable yet maintains high educational standards. The expo was really helpful for me,” he added.
Similarly, the representatives from participating institutions and companies, much like the visitors, spoke highly of the expo. They appreciated the chance it gave them to engage with a large audience throughout the two days.
Abdullah from KIPS Education System expressed his appreciation for the expo, highlighting that in addition to providing information about on-campus and online education options, his organisation also offered study abroad counseling services to students. Sheraz Younas, CEO of the Alpha Premium Consultants, mentioned that his company specialised in study abroad opportunities and at the expo their team offered information to students interested in studying at top-ranked universities in the United Kingdom.
