MANSEHRA: The police on Saturday arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in dozens of murder, attempted murder and theft cases in the Battal area of the district.
“We have launched a crackdown against outlaws wanted by the police in heinous crimes across the district and arrested the proclaimed offender after an encounter,” District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur told reporters.
He said that Abid Gulzaman was a symbol of terror in the area. “A heavy contingent of police took part in the operation and circled his hideout in Chinarkot area and arrested him in an injured condition,” Gandapur said.
The DPO said that his accomplice, Painda Khan, who was also wanted by police in heinous crimes, managed to flee taking advantage of dense forest.The DPO said that the ongoing crackdown against outlaws would continue.
