Pak PWD dissolution begins
Federal Minister for Housing and Construction Riaz Hussain Pirzada has approved this decision
ISLAMABAD: On the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the implementation of the plan to dissolve Pakistan PWD has been started.
The management of federal lodges and hostels in the first phase has been transferred from Pak PWD to the Estate Office. Allotment and reservation in federal lodges and hostels will continue to be carried out by the Ministry of Housing and Works itself. Qasr Naz Karachi, Chamba House Lahore have also been brought under the Estate Office
Federal Lodges Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar have also been brought under Estate Office. The staff posted in Federal Lodges, Hostels, Qasr Naz and Chamba House have also been transferred from Pak PWD and placed under Estate Office. All these posts and the budget have also been transferred to the Estate Office.
The Ministry of Housing has issued an official notification in this regard in which all the officials of Pak PWD and State Office have been directed to complete all the regulatory requirements under the rules. Federal Minister for Housing and Construction Riaz Hussain Pirzada has approved this decision.
