Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has paid Rs50 million to the Dow hospital to have the hospital’s services for the water corporation’s employees restored.
According to a statement issued by the KWSC, the KWSC CEO spoke to Dow University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor for medical facilities to the corporation’s employees and assured the VC of an immediate payment of Rs50 million.
KWSC Finance Deputy Managing Director Syed Imran Iqbal Zaidi said further payments would be made as per the schedule and, the KWSC finance department had handed over a pay order of Rs50 million to the management of the Dow hospital.
The hospital will restore all its services for the KWSC employees in the next two days. Zaidi explained that on special instructions of the KWSC CEO, this step had been taken to ensure better medical facilities for all the present and retired employees of the water corporation.
Ahmed was quoted as saying that solving all the problems of the serving and retired employees of the KWSC and providing them with better medical facilities was one of the top priorities of the KWSC.
