Pakistan had begun this event with a two back-to-back wins against Saudi Arabia and Myanmar on the first day to qualify for the quarter-finals.
And there the Green-shirts conquered India 3-0 to blast their way into the pre-final. Pakistan during the event won two gold medals, two silver and one bronze.
It was a historic event for the debutant Mohammad Hasnain Akhtar who downed Ahsan Ramzan 4-3 in the Asian 15 Red Under-21 Championship to win the title on his debut. Awais on the other hand defeated Hong Kong's Nansen Wan 6-3 in the Asian 6 Red Snooker Championship final to wear the crown.
