ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought reply from interior secretary and other respondents till next week on the petition seeking removal of name of Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Chairman Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) from ECL.
The petition seeking removal of name of Sahibzada Hamid Raza from ECL came up for hearing before Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamir Farooq Thursday.
The court while issuing notice to Deputy Attorney General Syed Ahsan Raza sought reply. CJ IHC Aamir Farooq called Deputy Attorney General Syed Ahsan Raza on rostrum during the hearing. The CJ IHC inquired that he believed that SIC leader would not return after going abroad. “He is political leader. He will return if he goes abroad,” he said. CJ IHC remarked his name has been placed on ECL to tease him. The court while seeking reply adjourned the hearing till next week.
