ISLAMABAD: The accused fled from the court premises as a local court on Thursday canceled their interim bails in the corruption case worth Rs124.96 million in the state-owned news agency.
The court ordered to arrest the accused immediately.
Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar court indicted the then director IT and project Gaus Khan, former manager accounts Arshad Majeed Chaudhry, deputy director IT Maswar Imran and chief computer engineer Saad Mudassar Khan as accused in the corruption case.
On this occasion, the news agency’s legal advisor Yaqub Mastoi argued that the accused have caused a loss of Rs124.96 million to the national institution by violating the PEPRA rules.
The bail application should be rejected. The court, agreeing with the arguments, rejected the bail application, but the accused managed to escape the court premises.
