LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) has adjourned hearing of Ramzan Sugar Mills reference against Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and his son former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Hamza Shehbaz till August 5.
Judge Nadim Gulzar of AC heard the reference Thursday.
Anwar Hussain advocate appeared on behalf of PM Shehbaz Sharif in the court and got completed the attendance.
The counsels for Hamza Shehbaz filed exemption from attendance plea.
They took the stance in the petition Hamza Shehbaz cannot appear in the court due to back pain. Doctors have advised PMLN leader to take rest. It is requested court should accept exemption plea for one day.
The court sought medical certificate from a private hospital. Medical certificate from government hospital in respect of Hamza Shehbaz be presented next. Medical reports in respect of back pain of PMLN leader also be presented next.
The court while accepting one day exemption plea of Hamza Shehbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills reference adjourned the further proceedings of the case till August 5.
