Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon on Thursday conducted a meeting on Police Martyrs Day and took a briefing over the arrangements in this regard.
He said that on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, police committees will perform their duties efficiently and ensure the best and quality arrangements for the families of the martyrs. He emphasized that the heirs of the martyrs, including children and other relatives, should be invited to the ceremony and adequate measures should be ensured at all levels for their participation.
He told the meeting that Police Martyrs’ Day is actually a day to remember the sacrifices of our martyrs. This day is celebrated at the national level on August 4 every year. He said that we are proud of our martyrs, their courage, bravery and deeds are a beacon for us.
The meeting was held at the Central Police Office and attended by senior police officers The DIG Headquarters briefed the meeting about the arrangements for the events at the provincial level regarding Martyrs’ Day. Committees consisting of various senior officers have been formed and informed about the details of their responsibilities.
