LAHORE:Electricity workers across Pakistan observed ‘Martyrs Day’ to pay tribute to their colleagues who lost their lives while performing their duties.
Organised by the All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union (CBA), the day featured rallies and meetings. In Lahore, hundreds of workers marched with national flags and banners, urging the prime minister and the federal energy minister to address the frequent fatal accidents among line and field staff due to increased workload and unsafe working conditions. Participants paid tribute to the martyred workers.
