ISLAMABAD: PMLN Parliamentary Party Leader in Senate and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Irfan Siddiqui has emphasized the importance of modernizing diplomatic practices to meet contemporary challenges.
He made these remarks during a meeting with Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cyrus Sajjad Qazi who called on him on Wednesday at the Senate Secretariat. Qazi extended felicitations to Siddiqui on his recent election as chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and expressed optimism that the committee’s insights and guidance would greatly benefit Foreign Office operations.
Addressing the need to align Pakistani diplomatic efforts with global standards, Siddiqui underscored that effective diplomacy evolved into a sophisticated science. He assured that the Senate committee would actively support the Foreign Office, acting as a think tank to foster strategic and informed diplomatic initiatives.
