PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has barred public servants from attending overseas training at official expense.
The ban was put in place as the Finance Department issued the guiding principles to the government departments through a letter.The guiding principles were approved by the provincial cabinet.
There would be a ban on attending training workshops and seminars out of the country on government expense.No government official would be allowed to have medical treatment abroad at the government’s expense.
KP Chief Minister was allowed to relax the ban on fresh recruitment in the creation of positions on a case-to-case basis.It was decided that there would be a ban on the purchase of vehicles except for ambulances, fire trucks, tractors, buses and machinery.
The contracts of the employees would be extended only after consulting the Finance Department.No appointment would be made to the vacant positions without the prior approval of the Finance Department.
