CM takes notice of spurious drugs in Mardan

PESHAWAR: Taking serious notice of the availability of the spurious drugs in Mardan district, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Monday ordered an inquiry into the matter.

He issued the directives while talking to a delegation of Mardan Chamber of Small Traders at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, said a handout. President of the chamber Ehsan Bacha led the delegation.

Provincial Minister for Education Muhammad Atif Khan and Mardan Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid were also present on the occasion. The delegation apprised the chief minister about the problems of the trade body and demanded remedial steps for overcoming it.

Earlier, a delegation of Mardan Chamber of Women Traders headed by Ambreen Hoti also called on the chief minister. Both the delegation demanded of the chief minister to allocate proper space at the under-construction building of Chamber of Commerce at Mardan for their bodies.

The chief minister directed the deputy commissioner to sort out an amicable solution to the issue. He also ordered an inquiry into the delay in completion of the building of the chamber of commerce despite the release of huge funds. Pervez Khattak assured provision of funds for giving final touches to the building and its decoration in proper manner.

The chief minister informed the delegates that provincial government had formed Water and Sanitation Services Company at Mardan while funds had already been released for the beautification of the city.
