MINGORA: Opposing the possible operation in Malakand Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Forests, Environment, Climate Change and Wildlife Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai on Tuesday announced to hold a peace march here today (Wednesday).

Speaking at a press conference at the Swat Press Club, the minister said that Swat was famous for its beautiful scenic spots and pleasant weather. No one would be allowed to sabotage the peace of the Swat valley, he added. City Mayor Shahid Ali Khan and PTI’S local leadership and workers were also present on the occasion.

“We will deal with those who want to create unrest and lawlessness in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with an iron hand. I hope that the people will support us to maintain law and order in Malakand division,” Fazal Hakeem said, adding that the people of Swat had rendered invaluable sacrifices for the peace in the region.

“The people of this province have voted PTI to power to maintain peace. They have suffered a lot during military operations and cannot tolerate any kind of offensive and lawlessness in their area,” he said, and added that they would continue to struggle for the interests of the people.

He further said that there was a complete peace in Malakand division, and there was no need for any operation in Swat. Peace rallies would be held in all districts of the Malakand Division, he added. He urged the locals to participate in the peace march irrespective of politics and political affiliation, as peace was the need of every individual of the society.
