UoP directed to forward names to selection committee

PESHAWAR: A civil judge here on Monday directed the University of Peshawar (UoP) to place the names of the six applicants before the selection board.

Tariq Aghan Advocate and Sajid Afridi appeared for the applicants, including Gohar Rahman, Akhtar Amin, Dr Abdul Majeed, Dr Tahir Jan, Engineer Hassan Iqbal and Fazal Mahmood.

The lawyers told the court that the UoP had placed an advertisement to fill in some vacant positions. They said the applicants had also applied for the positions, but the scrutiny committee did not forward their names to the selection board despite meeting the criteria.spite meeting the criteria. The court directed the University of Peshawar to place the names of the applicants before the selection board.
