Islamabad: The Floral Art Society, Magnolia branch held their General Body Meeting with two agendas - a tribute to Zeenat Salim, a cherished member who recently passed away and elections for the new committee. The event was held at the Serena Hotel and a framed picture of Zeenat, with a beautiful floral arrangement was displayed in the hall, honouring her memory.
While the election process was going on overseen by the election committee, headed by Aisha Zahid and comprising Ghazala Abdullah, Fahima Yusuf, and Parvanay Maqsood, Sarwat Aslam presented a multimedia tribute to Zeenat, highlighting various aspects of her life, including her family, creativity and floral achievements. She was a lovely person, always smiling and full of life. She was sorely missed at the meeting.
In Zeenat's honour, experienced floral artist Asma Ansari also demonstrated three arrangements using Zeenat's floral accessories. Several members and former presidents of Magnolia shared their heartfelt memories and expressed their sorrow over Zeenat's loss.
