NLC exhibits logistics solutions at Tashkent expo
Rawalpindi: The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) made a significant impact at the ‘Made in Pakistan Exhibition’ held at the Uz Expo Centre in Tashkent, drawing a large number of the Uzbek business community, industry leaders and government officials. The three-day event also featured participation from other logistics companies and around 80 firms from various corporate sectors of Pakistan, says a press release.
NLC’s stall remained the focus of attention at the exhibition, due to its distinctive logistics service offerings, which cater specifically to the business communities of Uzbekistan and other countries of the Central Asian Republics. NLC showcased its diverse services, highlighting land-based transportation and comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions utilising the Transport Internationaux Routiers (TIR) system. Delegates and business representatives were briefed on NLC’s time and cost-efficient logistics solutions.
One day of the exhibition was dedicated to the Logistics Forum to assess available options and make the cross-border transportation more business friendly. DG NLC presented a paper on end-to-end multimodal logistics solutions for boosting regional trade. On the side-lines of the exhibition, the NLC team engaged in extensive B2B meetings with Uzbek officials and business leaders. During these meetings, they underscored the organisation’s success in unlocking regional markets through its efficient transportation services.
The officials and business leaders were informed that NLC provides shortest access to the Uzbek businessmen not only to regional countries but also to global markets via the Pakistani ports in Karachi. They were informed that NLC has conducted scores of TIR operations in the recent past. NLC fleet is fully compliant with international standards and is being monitored 24/7 while transiting through different countries. There was keen interest expressed in utilizing NLC’s safe, secure, and efficient transportation services.
